Megan Jahnke named Spring Lake Park High School Principal

Megan Jahnke is the new principal of spring lake park high school for 2025-2026 school year

Megan Jahnke has been named the new Principal of Spring Lake Park High School beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. Currently serving as the Associate Principal at the school, Megan will begin her new leadership role on July 1, 2025.

Megan has served as an Associate Principal for nearly five years and will step into the principal role following Matthew Boucher’s departure at the end of the school year.

“Megan is intentional in every aspect of her leadership and committed to being a great partner with families and staff in support of our students,” says Jeff Ronneberg, Ed. D., Superintendent of Spring Lake Park Schools. “She brings a unique enthusiasm and loves coming to school each day to do all she can to create a great experience for the students she serves and the staff she works with. Megan is well-equipped to lead the next steps at Spring Lake Park High School.”

Megan came to Spring Lake Park Schools in 2014 as an Associate Principal at Westwood Intermediate and Middle School. She transitioned to Spring Lake Park High School in 2021.

“I’m incredibly honored to be named the next principal of Spring Lake Park High School,” says Megan.  “I care deeply about the work we are doing to know students deeply and design engaging work for them that supports their learning and helps them discover their spark. I’m deeply committed to the variety of opportunities we provide to help students find their path during high school and beyond.”

As she steps into this role, Megan will focus on sustaining the great work staff are doing and continue to build strong relationships with the school community.

Here are five fun facts from Megan:

  • Favorite school lunch: With the fast pace of my job, I often times just grab a snack throughout the day. I also know the teachers who have snacks in their classroom and sometimes I go and bug them!
  • Favorite school tradition or school activity: I am in love with the new tradition of having our 4th graders write a letter to our graduating seniors congratulating them on their accomplishment of graduation and wishing them the best in their futures.
  • Favorite part of your school day: Hanging out by the lockers during SET (Support and Extension Time). I love to see the interactions and discussion between our students about what is happening in their lives in and outside of school.
  • What was your favorite subject in school? Why? I loved science when I was in school because it fed my curiosity around how things work in the world.
  • Favorite moment in high school sports: I was Central Minnesota's Player of the Year for softball my senior year of high school.

The Associate Principal position will be posted with the anticipation of filling the role before the summer.
